GHETTO TRACKS (2024)

Ghetto Tracks is an observational documentary and soundscape project that merges ghetto tech’s vibrant energy with visual storytelling. Originating in Detroit, ghetto tech combines techno, booty bass, and hip-hop, centring and preserving Black voices while challenging genre boundaries. This piece uses ghetto tech as a medium to explore and document cultural experiences, stories, and sonic landscapes from the African diaspora. Ghetto Tracks serves as both a film and soundscape, preserving and celebrating Black culture and experiences. It offers an immersive examination of how marginalised identities interact with sound and space, redefining cultural narratives through raw, unfiltered energy.
